Into the World
“As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.”
What do Jesus’ final words reveal about what mattered to Him?
In the hours before Jesus went to the cross for us, He prayed. He did not pray to escape His impending suffering. Rather, he asked the Father to unite His followers so that they would be prepared for the work to come.
In this 6-week series, we’ll explore the prayer Jesus prayed in the Upper Room. With His closest followers gathered near to Him, Jesus prayed that they would display His glory to the world. 2,000 years later, these words still unite those who follow Him.
Together we will witness Jesus commission His church, a community united in love by the power of the Spirit. When the church lives out this call, it points a desperate world back to Jesus. So, let’s gather near and listen to Jesus’ final words as He prepares to send us into the world…
